Do you need a fundraiser?
Do you work for a charity or a charitable organisation
and are looking to raise money for the cause/ If so
perhaps you can make use of our facility. As you will
see from the history section of this site raising money for
good causes is what we do.
So what’s involved?
Basically we put on concerts of mainly traditional music in
conjunction with the organisation who are trying to raise
money.
If you were that organisation then we “The Gallovidians”
would provide everything that happens on the stage and
you “the Organisation” would be responsible for
1/ Securing the venue, and
2/ Selling the concert.
3/ Providing light refreshment for the players at half time.
Money – where would we be without it. Nothing comes free in
this world but our services come pretty close. Unfortunately even
we have expenses which have to be addressed so this is what we cost:-
1/ On the night of the event the players should be compensated
for any travelling expenses. This is generally very little and
frequently nothing though they have to be asked, and
2/ At the end of the day when everything is added up and
costs deducted you will be left with a cash figure (the Profit).
We, the Gallovidians, ask for 10% of that sum. In simple terms
if you make £100 then we’re looking for £10.
Any ancillary monies raised, from a raffle for example, are
not included in this calculation.
So there you have it – it’s as simple as that. If you can get the
customers through the door we’ll make sure they enjoy their
evening. A word of caution though – selling tickets does
require an energetic approach.
